This was the Festival Caribe
for the residents of Cancun and the surrounding area.
I pretended to be Mexican and they pretended not to notice
I was not.

It started out with a play. It involved fire, explosions and chickens. I have no idea what it meant.

Then there were fireworks

I was a little too close

Plenty of cops to keep me in line

I got her number and address !

Lots of stuff to buy and places to eat

Mariachi Music !!!

They all had cell phones. Must have been doctors.

I made a request for Cuando caliente el sol.

And they played it!

A dignified celebration if I ever saw one.
