Fair and Balanced

If anyone claims that Fox News is not fair and balanced they are truly mistaken. I just watched Greta Van Sustern (a criminal lawyer, former CNN wonk and Scientologist - all perfectly fine but not my cup of tea) interview Jeanane Garafolo. I consider Ms. Garafolo the most annoying person on the face of the earth ever since she said she knows about foreign affairs because she uses the library and has a satellite dish.

I'm a generally nonviolent person but if Ms. Garafolo walked past my front door I would throw things at her, not big things mind you, perhaps small stones, big pine cones, crushed empty soda cans....

Why do actors and their ilk think we care what they think. The girl went to Catholic High School and a Catholic college. I wonder what went wrong for her to be such an anti-Catholic same sex marriage supporting, abortion defending, lapsed vegetarian, now sober reformed drunk Leftist. We can all pray for her.

I think it is because Miss Garafolo sports those "smart girl" glasses. It makes her look like she has the ability to say something intelligent.

I guess you care about what she thinks in the same way I care about what Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, et. al., think. LOL.. they're all in the entertainment industry, yet there seem to be a large number who listen and agree with Limbaugh and his ilk. ;)

I don't think you can call Fox "Fair and Balanced" simply because they have some token liberals. Would you call the New York Times a "fair and balanced" newspaper because they have David Brooks or William Safire as op-ed columnists?

Rush Limbaugh is a big bag of hot air. People who follow him like the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh worry me. Then again people who have never had an original thought worry me. I don't care if it differs from mine, but geez how hard can it be for people to form their own opinions.

None of the networks are truly fair and balanced, journalists have opinions and some of them are less able to seperate themselves and do their professional duty, the recent UNITY journalists of color (or whatever the euphamism is) demonstrates this ethical lapse.

Truly no network is fair and balanced, or for that matter fair or balanced. However one can amalgamate a better view of reality if one gathers information from multiple sources rather than sticking to Al-Jazeera, CNN, BBC, or FoxNews. That way you can tell which one is lying the most.
